The Premise

If you're like me, you're a little confused with where the San Francisco real estate market is headed. According to some sorces, we're in for a "soft landing". According to others, things are going to appreciate around 5%. Others still think the maket will keep rocketing up with the gains we've seen in the last couple of years.

Personally, I think the jury's still out and we won't know until spring/summer of 2006. So what I'm going to do is start tracking several facts which I think will hold the secret of the San Francisco real estate market.

Now I have to go off and do a bit of programming, but check back soon for what I hope will be some data to help us all sort this out.
